The A&V-NASF Rings Softball Tournament took place on Aug.
11 & 12 at Big League Dreams Cathedral City, CA. The tournament
was just as hot as the weather, with teams from all over So Cal
and Las Vegas battling for the 1st place prize of a choice of
Rings or Cash. The tourney began on Saturday and continued on
through Sunday. On Sunday the top 4 teams were left to battle
it out. The 1st match up was between Tile 4 Less out of Hemet,
CA against Rivera Fury from Las Vegas, NV. Tile 4 Less was barely
beaten by Rivera Fury, went they were not able to capitalize on
a bases loaded opportunity in the 7th inning. Tile 4 Less, coached
by Jeff Jordan, took 4th place in the tourney. Fury went on to
meet Hired Guns, from Upland, CA who at just lost a one run game
to Kryptonite from Ontario, CA. Fury was able to beat Hired Guns
to go on to the Championship game. Hired Guns, coached by Brian
Shively, took 3rd place in the tourney. The Championship game
proved to very be exciting, with Kryptonite overpowering Rivera
Fury in the IF game. Rivera Fury, coached by Felix Batista took
2nd place. The Kryptonite team coached by Henry Soto named Michael
Romero MVP. Michael was awarded an A&V-NASF MVP jacket. His
amazing bat power gave him the edge over his teammates to earn
him the MVP award. Other Kryptonite players named to the All Tournament
